The Maiden Bhagirathi emerging from the womb of Gaumukh frolicking through scenes of indescribable beauty in the innocence of her youth and finally, hurtling down the mountains , to become the mighty Ganges. Surrounded by the pristine beauty of majestic mountain peaks and protected by the embracing sacntum of their serene calm, the sacred shrine of Gangotri beckons-A beacon of hope offering refuge from the seemingly limitless horros of human suffering. This Blue Valley is also the base for excursions and treks to Saat Taal, Dyara Bhugyal, Dodi Taal, Bhojbasa, Gaumukh, Tapovan, and Nandavan, that unfolds the rich flora and fauna in the meadows of the region.
